| NOTES FOR THE PERFORMER |
|
This composition was written on the occasion of the wedding
ceremony of Heleen Schönau and Paul Hofmeister on Friday
21 June 2002. The melodic material is based on the well-known
wedding march from A Midsummer Night's Dream by
Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. After the introduction the theme
succesively is converted into a Jazz Waltz, a Calypso, a Traditional Section,
an Afro-Cuban section, and finally as a conventional March.
